Program A Linear Garage Door Opener

1. Gather your materials. You will need the following items:

A ladder
A Phillips head screwdriver
A new garage door opener remote

2. Safety first! Before you begin, make sure that the power to your garage door opener is turned off. You can do this by flipping the circuit breaker that powers the opener.

3. Locate the control panel. The control panel is usually located on the back or side of the garage door opener. It is a small box with a number of buttons and lights.

4. Open the control panel. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the control panel in place. Once the screws are removed, you can lift the control panel off of the opener.

8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for any additional remotes. You can program up to four remotes to your garage door opener. Simply repeat steps 6 and 7 for each additional remote.

9. Close the control panel. Once you have programmed all of the remotes, you can close the control panel. Be sure to tighten the screws that hold the control panel in place.

10. Turn the power back on. Once the control panel is closed, you can turn the power back on to your garage door opener. The opener will now be able to be operated with the new remote.
