MyQ Smart Garage Control Installation

Installing a MyQ smart garage control system is a straightforward process that can be completed in a few simple steps. By following these instructions, you can quickly and easily add convenience and security to your home.

Step 1: Gather Your Tools

Step 2: Determine the Location of the Hub

Choose a location for the hub that is within range of your garage door and has access to a power outlet. The hub should be mounted on a wall or ceiling, at least 6 feet above the ground.

Step 3: Install the Hub

Use the provided mounting screws to secure the hub to the wall or ceiling. Connect the hub to a power outlet using the included power adapter.

Step 4: Connect the Hub to Your Wi-Fi Network

Download the MyQ app on your smartphone or tablet. Follow the instructions in the app to connect the hub to your Wi-Fi network.

Step 5: Install the Sensor

Attach the sensor to the garage door, following the included instructions. The sensor should be placed on the inside of the door, near the top, and facing the door opener.

Step 6: Pair the Sensor with the Hub

Open the MyQ app on your smartphone or tablet. Select the "Add Device" option and follow the instructions to pair the sensor with the hub.

Step 7: Test the System

Open and close the garage door using the MyQ app or the included remote control. The sensor should detect the movement of the door and send a signal to the hub, which will open or close the door accordingly.
