Gather Necessary Materials

Working 9-volt battery

Locate the Learn Button

The location of the Learn button varies depending on the model of your Liftmaster garage door opener. It is typically found on the motor unit, which is usually mounted on the ceiling of your garage. Consult your garage door opener's user manual for the exact location.

Open the Remote Housing

With the Learn button identified, proceed to open the housing of your remote control. This is usually done by sliding the back panel or removing the screws that hold the housing together.

Install the Battery

Once the housing is open, locate the battery compartment and insert a new 9-volt battery. Ensure the battery is properly oriented and securely installed.

Press the Learn Button
