How To Program A Genie Remote Control Garage Door Opener

Genie remote control garage door openers are a convenient way to open and close your garage door without having to get out of your car. Programming a Genie remote control is a simple process that can be completed in a few minutes.

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

You will need the following items to program a Genie remote control garage door opener:

A Genie remote control
A ladder
A screwdriver

Step 2: Locate the Learn Button

The Learn button is located on the back of the garage door opener motor unit. It is usually a small, black button with the word "Learn" printed on it.

Step 3: Press the Learn Button

Press and hold the Learn button for 3 seconds. The LED light on the back of the garage door opener will start to flash.

Step 4: Press the Remote Button

Within 30 seconds of pressing the Learn button, press the button on the remote control that you want to program. The LED light on the back of the garage door opener will stop flashing and turn solid.
