How To Get Paint Off Garage Floor

TSP cleaner
Bucket

Steps:

1. Prepare the Area

Start by sweeping or vacuuming the garage floor to remove any loose dirt or debris. Then, wet the floor with a hose or bucket of water. This will help to soften the paint and make it easier to remove.

2. Apply TSP Cleaner

TSP (trisodium phosphate) is a powerful cleaner that can help to remove paint from surfaces. Mix 1/4 cup of TSP per gallon of water in a bucket. Apply the TSP solution to the garage floor using a mop or sponge. Let the solution sit for 10-15 minutes.

3. Scrub the Floor

4. Rinse the Floor

5. Dry the Floor

Tips:

If the paint is still not coming off, you can try using paint thinner. Apply the paint thinner to a rag and rub it over the paint. Be sure to test the paint thinner on a small area first to make sure it doesn't damage the floor.
If the paint is on a concrete floor, you can try using a muriatic acid solution. Mix 1 part muriatic acid per 10 parts water in a bucket. Apply the muriatic acid solution to the floor using a mop or sponge. Let the solution sit for 10-15 minutes, then rinse the floor thoroughly with water.
