How To Change Battery On Liftmaster Garage Opener

If your LiftMaster garage door opener is not working properly, it may be time to change the battery. The battery is located in the motor head of the garage door opener. To change the battery, you will need a new 3-volt CR2032 battery and a Phillips head screwdriver.

Here are the steps on how to change the battery on a LiftMaster garage door opener:

Disconnect the power to the garage door opener. This can be done by unplugging it from the electrical outlet or by turning off the circuit breaker that powers it.
Open the motor head of the garage door opener. The motor head is usually located on the ceiling of the garage, above the garage door. To open the motor head, use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold it in place.
Locate the battery. The battery is usually located on the back of the motor head. It is a small, round battery that is held in place by a clip.
